Better Software

You know what could be better. Let's build the software to make it work.

For the customers you serve, the people doing the work and the business you are building. We bring product thinking and engineering, and work with you to understand what needs to change.

    Who We Work With

You know the business. You see what could work better.

    01

Improving a business you already run

You want to serve customers better, make the work easier for your team or support the next stage of the business. We work through where software can help, including what your existing systems should continue to do.

    02

    Building something your industry needs

You have seen the problem firsthand and have a view of what should exist. We help turn that experience into a product, testing the assumptions with the people who would use it.

You bring the experience and judgment of the business. We bring product and engineering judgment, and take the time to understand the work with you. The product takes shape through that exchange.

    How We Work

Understand the business. Build with the people in it.

    1. 01

      Understand what should improve

We look at who the change is for, how the work happens today and what a useful result would mean. That includes customer experience, staff workload and the economics of the business.

    2. 02

      Build a useful first version

We choose a scope that can be tested in practice, with the necessary integrations and operating responsibilities understood. The first version should answer a real question about whether the approach works.

    3. 03

Stay close as it is used

We review what happens with the people using the software, address what gets in their way and decide what to improve next.

We work as a pod: a product manager covering design works through priorities and usable workflows with you, and two engineers build, integrate, test, and review the software. We manage the day-to-day delivery; you remain involved in business decisions and priorities.

The first conversation is about the business, what you want to improve and what you already know. We will discuss whether we can help and what we would need to understand next.

    Your team & investment

A pod to move your product forward.

We work as a pod: one product manager and two engineers, working directly with your business team—from understanding the problem to releasing and improving the software.

    Our typical starting pod

    Around $15,000/month

USD. This is a typical monthly budget, not a fixed price for the entire build. Final pricing depends on team allocation and scope.

    Discuss your build and budget

    01

1 product manager — what to build, and the design

Works with your business team to decide what is worth building, and carries the user journeys, interface design, and delivery planning.

    02

2 engineers — build and ship it

Build the software, connect the systems it depends on, test changes, and review each other’s work.

    03

    Founder architecture oversight included

Jai works with the pod during the first few months to guide architecture and key technical decisions, included at no additional charge. This is oversight, not a fourth full-time member or unlimited access.

What the pod takes responsibility for

    • Decide what is worth building first.
    • Design workflows people can actually use.
    • Build, integrate, test, and release the software.
    • Review feedback and plan the next improvements.

You remain involved in business decisions and priorities. We manage the day-to-day delivery.

We start with this pod and expand when the scope requires it. Team allocation, monthly budget, and responsibilities are agreed before kickoff.

Before work begins, you receive a scoped plan with an estimated timeline and budget for the first useful release.

For context, hiring a comparable team in the United States costs about $31,000/month in salaries alone, before recruiting, benefits, employer taxes, equipment, and ongoing people management (US Bureau of Labor Statistics, May 2025 median wages: software developers and project management specialists).

    The AI Question

If AI can write code, what are you paying us for?

AI can help you explore an idea, build a prototype, and accelerate development. We use it too. The investment covers the people who decide what to build, understand how it fits your business, and take responsibility for reviewing, testing, and delivering it.

    01

    Product decisions

What should the software do, for whom, and what can wait?

    02

    Engineering decisions

How should data, permissions, integrations, and failure handling work together?

    03

    Delivery responsibility

Who checks the changes, releases them, and follows through when real use reveals something new?

AI helps us move faster through implementation. We use that capacity to advance the agreed priorities and validate the result. Progress is measured through working software and reviewed milestones.

Already built something with AI? Bring it. We assess what works, what needs strengthening, and what can be carried forward.
